White Whale Holy Grail | Mastodon Fan Tribute
A Tribute to the rock/metal band Mastodon. I’ve loved this band for a long time now and have always been a massive fan of their significant unique trashy / doom & stoner sound. The artwork is losely based on their album Leviathan. Which is about the novel Moby-Dick. It centers around the main characters and their thoughts during the story.
White Whale Holy Grail! The whales were modeled in Autodesk Maya and exported for detail in Zbrush. Once rendered, they were send to Photoshop for post-production. Adding the text in the middle which is a line from “Blood and Thunder” color correction, fonts, and brushes to decorate and complete the overall composition.
